Benevolent funds assists veterans, ex-service personnel and their dependants. The assistance is usually for basic needs such as food and shelter.
Ontario also provides assistance through the Soldiers' Aid Commission to Canadian veterans in need who served overseas and their dependants living in Ontario.
Applications for all benevolent funds, including Ontario's Soldiers' Aid Commission, are available through a Veterans Affairs Canada counsellor or your Royal Canadian Legion Provincial Service Officer.
